First – I want to point your attention to a recent article published in Water World Magazine. I will be representing NEWIN at WEFTEC, where I will be talking about the role and value of cluster organizations like NEWIN. In preparation for that panel the editors of Water World Magazine have published this article outlining details about our recent successes and growth.

NEWIN’s New York Chapter, based in NYC grows stronger

Over the past few months you will have seen our continued effort running programming and growing a community out of our New York City office. By way of a quick update on that, our recent expansion to include New Jersey and New York is going well and we have had great support from members of our academic and business ecosystem.

We have ran a number of local network events in the city. We are supporting The Nature Conservancy and Stony Brook University with their efforts to address coastal water pollution and we recently supported Columbia University as a sponsor of the International Resource Recovery Conference.
In addition to our work in New York, we have continued to grow our programming and services in Massachusetts. Earlier this year we launched a Virtual Incubator program to support the water-specific needs of many of our regions water-tech start-ups. Over this summer my team and I have been developing lots of Massachusetts based programming for NEWIN members in New England.
